Village Celebrates Small Business Week (April 28- May 4)

The Village of Lindenhurst is encouraging residents and local small business owners to participate in Small Business Week, which will take place Sunday, April 28, through Saturday, May 4, 2024. Established in 1963, Small Business Week is an opportunity to honor the invaluable contributions of new and existing small business owners to our community. For the second year, the Village’s Economic Development Specialist, Anita Archambeau, will visit local businesses to offer support and resources to grow and sustain their businesses.

"Small businesses are the beating heart of our local community," said Archambeau. "We are committed to cultivating an environment where jobs and investments can flourish right here in Lindenhurst.”

The Village’s mission extends beyond mere celebration; it is a call to action, drawing attention to the remarkable achievements of our local businesses and informing the broader community about the offerings that make Lindenhurst a genuinely exceptional place to live, work, and thrive.

The Village of Lindenhurst recognizes the immense value that small businesses bring to our community. They serve as pillars of economic growth, innovation, and community spirit. By participating in Small Business Week, we honor the hard work and dedication of our local entrepreneurs and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their dreams and fostering an environment where their businesses can thrive.
Starting April 28 and continuing throughout the week, the Village will share information and ideas on supporting small businesses, along with resources and services, on Village social media platforms. Follow @lindenhurstil to learn more and join the conversation on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with #lindenhurstil.

One of the best ways residents can participate in Small Business Week is by shopping locally at their favorite local businesses. By doing so, they not only support the local economy but also reduce environmental impact, encourage local businesses to reinvest in their communities and foster local competition and innovation among small businesses.
