Lake Shore Drive Water Main Replacement to Begin Week of February 12
In continuing with the Village’s water main improvements, the balance of the water main along Lake Shore Drive, between Green Tree Court and Sprucewood Lane, has been slated for removal and replacement beginning the week of February 12. The Lake Shore Drive project started with removing and replacing the water main on Lake Shore Drive from Beck Road to Green Tree Court in 2022. This project will continue the upgrades of the water main from a 6-inch to a 12-inch diameter pipe to allow for a better flow pattern between adjacent water mains and will better serve the residents in the area. The estimated completion of the project is within 45 days, weather permitting.
Due to the location of the new water main and the safety of the construction crew, Lake Shore Drive will be closed from Green Tree Court to Sprucewood Lane during the day. Residents living along the planned work route will have access to their homes throughout the project. Detour signs will be placed at the beginning of the work day and removed at the end of the day.
