Employment Opportunities
The following is a list of job opportunities within the Village of Lindenhurst. The Village of Lindenhurst is an equal opportunity employer. Employment applications are available by visiting the Lindenhurst Village Hall, 2301 East Sand Lake Road, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. -- 12:00 (noon) on Saturday. The Village of Lindenhurst is currently accepting applications for the following position(s): CENSUS TAKER (Temporary Position): The Village of Lindenhurst is recruiting applicants for the position of "Census Taker" for a special census. Applications are available at the Lindenhurst Village Hall, 2301 East Sand Lake Road, Lindenhurst, IL. Candidates must be: * At least 18 years old * Have a valid drivers license * Be physically able to climb stairs and do extensive walking * Able to write legibly and understand instructions * Available to attend a three-day training session * Available for day, evening and weekend work Wages for this temporary position are as follows: Enumerators: $14.50 per hour Crew Leaders: $16.00 per hour Clerical Staff: $11.00 per hour This census differs from the decennial census, as the questions are briefer, taking only seven minutes to answer six questions.
