Hydrant Flushing Begins April 22

The Lindenhurst Public Works Department will conduct the spring water main/ hydrant-flushing program beginning Monday, April 22, through Friday, May 3rd, between 8:00 am and 2:30 pm. Hydrant flushing is completed twice a year to help clean the water pipes by removing sediments and also ensures that the hydrants operate effectively. During this time, customers may notice episodes of decreased water pressure or discoloration of their water; this is expected and temporary and should subside once flushing is complete.
